“It is estimated that nearly 237,000 Americans will be diagnosed with lung cancer this year.” GO2 Foundation for Lung Cancer
“Lung cancer is the third most common cancer in the United States. Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in the United States, followed by breast cancer (among women) and prostate cancer (among men). More people in the United States die from lung cancer than any other type; this is true for both men and women.” CDC
“We know there are 5 modern causes of lung cancer – tobacco, arsenic, lung inflammation, air pollution, RADON. To reduce your risk of lung cancer you can do 1 thing, TEST your HOUSE for RADON and undoubtedly FIX it if it’s HIGH.” Dr. Aaron Goodarzi

EPA recommends testing professionally for radon every 2 years to lower Lung Cancer risk. Testing is the only way to know if you have a radon problem.
Definitely test if your home has a basement, and also if your home doesn’t have a basement!
Test if a mitigation system is present! Without a doubt, the presence of a system does not mean it is working properly to reduce radon levels. It should be noted that all homes with active mitigation systems, should be tested every 2 years!
Consider testing your home for radon on this World Lung Cancer Day.
Last, but not least, if you have any questions, contact us and speak to one of our Radon scientists. We have a member of the Radon Speakers Bureau ready to answer any questions you may have!
